Center Players of Freehold – The Center Playhouse is home to Center Players. It is an intimate, 49-seat community theater located in Downtown Freehold. Freehold Carnegie Library (Freehold Public Library) – The Freehold Carnegie Library was built through a grant from industrialist Andrew Carnegie, and opened in 1904. The $10,000 grant stipulated that the borough provide a site for the library, and it would provide at least $1,000 per year in support to the library.
